Sportradar, the world’s leading provider of sports data intelligence and sport entertainment solutions, has announced that it will acquire Synergy Sports, pioneers in automated sports technology solutions and the market leader in data and video analytics in the U.S. College and Professional sports space.
The acquisition complements and extends Sportradar’s 360-degree product suite, as well as supports the company’s drive to deepen & broaden its relationships with key sports organizations globally.
In the U.S., Sportradar is the official partner of the NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB, while Synergy Sports has league-wide relationships with the NBA and MLB, as well as all of NCAA Division I women’s and men’s basketball and over 90% of NCAA Division I men’s baseball. Internationally, Synergy’s landmark partnership with FIBA to create the “FIBA Connected Stadium” provides basketball teams, leagues and federations with a full end-to-end technology platform offering automated video production and graphics. This combination of Synergy’s U.S. and International business will be a seamless fit into Sportradar’s vision for the continuing evolution of the way sports content will be created, digitized and delivered.
In addition, Sportradar will build on the popularity of Synergy Sports’ best-inbreed video technology, Synergy Automated Camera System, by layering on top its own video and OTT product suite enabling the development of deeper technology-enabled relationships with sports organizations.

Genius Sports Secures Multi-Year Official Data and Video Streaming Partnership With Japan B.LEAGUE
The B.LEAGUE (B.LEAGUE), the national governing body of professional basketball in Japan, has selected Genius Sports (Genius) as its Exclusive International Streaming and Data Partner for Betting.
Under this multi-year partnership, Genius and the B.LEAGUE have agreed to provide Japanese basketball fans, administrators, coaches and players with access to live data and video insights from over 1,000 games a season from the top two divisions, B1 and B2.
FIBA LiveStats, a leading live data collection tool in world basketball, will capture advanced play-by-play statistics on every B1 and B2 game, helping to power box scores, shot charts and data-driven analytics tools. The B.LEAGUE’s official data will also supply their broadcast and media partners with fast and accurate statistics to enhance the fan experience across multiple platforms.
Genius’ award-winning live streaming solution GeniusLive will help the B.LEAGUE to broadcast its B2 games. By automating streaming production and distribution through AI, GeniusLive enables sports to extend their reach and attract new fans around the world.
Genius has been granted the exclusive rights to capture, manage and distribute the B.LEAGUE’s official data and video content to its global network of regulated sportsbook partners. Its Bet Monitoring System and model rules and regulations will help to safeguard Japanese basketball from the threats of match-fixing and betting-related corruption.
To help protect the value and integrity of its official data, the B.LEAGUE and Genius have launched a new rights enforcement program, removing unauthorized data collectors from B1 and B2 games.
Gaming1 Joins Sports Betting Integrity Body IBIA
Leading Belgian-based gambling partner Gaming1 has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA).
Gaming1 is part of the Argent Group and has retail and online sports betting operations focused on European and American markets. Those brands, such as Circus and Zamba, will now feed into IBIA’s global monitoring and alert platform.
Gaming1 joins many of the leading regulated sports betting operators in the world in IBIA, with the association’s members accounting for $137bn (€115bn) of global betting turnover per annum and nearly 50% of all regulated commercial operator online betting activity.
